The Public Law Outline requires Local Authorities, as they bring children's cases to court, to have considered fully the possibility of family and friends care. This INCLUDES considering offering the family a FGC.

 

It is not unheard of for Courts to order a Family Group Conference when it is considering a Public Law matter. Where a local authority does not have access to a Family Group Conference service, FamilyPlans has been able to step in to help. By their very nature, these are generally urgent referrals.

 

We will make every effort to support you – please contact us if you find yourself in need of an urgent FGC and do not have access to a service.

 

We will talk with you about timescales and agree exceptional costs (travel, hotel accommodation) prior to starting work on a single contract spot purchase basis.
